It feels like a hand pushing you at the bottom of your back. Now you’re smiling. It's a STRONG AND GENTLE Hand. You’re amazed as you look at your gently peddling legs! They seem to be BATTERY-POWERED all of a sudden!

Welcome to the world of Electric Bicycles!

Now available to rent from The Blue Haven Transport Company. Things you need to know about Electric Bicycles:

Our Electric Bicycles have been chosen for their strength and reliability.
The range is about 40KM on a single charge.
The bikes are “pedal assisted” – the battery power will assist your peddling up to 15MPH (and of course – up those pesky hills).
You are not required to have a driving licence or insurance – just make sure you are wearing standard bicycle safety gear which we provide.
A mix of Electric and normal bicycles works very well in a larger group. People can switch around when some get tired etc.

In addition to 'cycling for softies' we also have fabulous new traditional bikes for all the family based at the Hotel. With so many beautiful places to see and explore cycling is one of the best ways to get around this beautiful area. Advice on good cycling routes and the best of places to see is always available at reception.

Rental rates for traditional cycles are just €10 per day including safety gear.
